Sea Shell Jewelry and Craft Ideas

Anyone who has ever been to the beach, spent some time checking all the different shells and treasures that have washed ashore. Many of us have also included a couple of "nice" with the idea of doing something creative with them later. Of course, like many other things in our lives, we put them away only on our "treasures" to be forgotten until spring cleaning a few years. Again, think of all the possibilities that we can use for the shells, only to repeatprevious cycle. Fortunately, everything you need to break the cycle a bit 'of emotion and motivation.

The potential of mussels is limited only by your imagination. A common problem when working with shells, how weak and fragile that it can be. The easiest way to solve this problem is to connect the shells to a hard surface like wood. Great examples of this method are picture frames, jewelry boxes and mirrors. All you need is the glue that is good with wood and organic material, someuntreated wood products, your mussels and some creativity. To complete your design, a non-yellowing clear gloss to keep the shiny shells and provide some protection and durability. Most of the products that you need these projects can be purchased at your local craft store.

Another use for your shell is beautiful handmade jewelry. I know, beading is a very popular hobby and business, and shells can be used in the same way. It may be necessary to make an ornamentClass or spend time practicing the techniques and styles, but the end result is surprising and very satisfying. Also, what kind of jewelry do you like mussels and almost limitless. Then it's time to find that old shoe box of shells and begin to do the works of art in itself.
